Italian Company Launches World's First Digital Passport for Robots
EZ Lab has developed the Robot Digital Passport (RDP), enabling quick identification of humanoid robots and their owners. This innovation addresses the growing need for tracking and accountability as humanoid robots become more integrated into daily life and workplaces.

EZ Lab, based in Padova, has introduced the Robot Digital Passport (RDP), which allows for immediate identification of humanoid robots, including ownership details and mechanical health status. Projected production of humanoid robots is set to exceed 18,000 units by 2025, reflecting a 508% market growth.
The RDP addresses existing regulatory gaps by providing a standardized identification tool for malfunctioning robots. Presented at major tech events like VivaTech Paris, the RDP is backed by research initiatives in the Veneto region and collaborations with Human Robotics. The initiative aligns with European sustainability and circular economy regulations, highlighting the necessity for enhanced robot monitoring as their presence escalates in urban and work environments.
