Italian Data Centers Plant 200 Trees in Southern Rome
Initiated by Ida, an association of data centers in Italy, the urban forestry project in Mezzocammino aims to combat climate change. In collaboration with Rete Clima and local elementary schools, the initiative engages students in planting 200 trees and shrubs.

Ida, the Italian association of data centers, is leading an urban forestry project in Mezzocammino, Rome, aimed at mitigating climate change effects. In partnership with Rete Clima, the initiative involves 60 elementary school students from the 'Teresa Sarti' school who will help plant 200 trees and shrubs starting in April.
This effort is part of the national 'Foresta Italia' campaign initiated in 2022. The selected species will reflect the natural vegetation of the Central Italy plain near river courses. The project is expected to enhance air quality, absorb CO2, and promote urban biodiversity, contributing to the local ecosystem.
