Itronics Expands Operations to Recover Critical Minerals from Battery Waste
Itronics Inc. is initiating a new operation to process alkaline battery black mass for critical minerals recovery. This transition supports the production of GOLD'n GRO fertilizers and aims to create a market for standalone mineral products.

Itronics Inc. is now processing alkaline battery black mass, which contains critical minerals such as zinc, manganese dioxide, potassium, and carbon. The company will use a portion of these minerals for its GOLD'n GRO fertilizers, enhancing its supply chain.
Pilot production of manganese dioxide has started, with plans for carbon recovery under evaluation.
