Jacobs and Murphy Establish Eight-Year Energy Framework; Farrans Completes Camster II Wind Farm
Jacobs has secured an eight-year framework with Murphy to support transmission projects in the UK, enhancing collaboration for low-carbon energy. Meanwhile, Farrans has completed the Camster II Onshore Wind Farm in Scotland, generating 36 MW of renewable energy.

Jacobs has entered an eight-year strategic framework with Murphy to enhance the SSEN Transmission portfolio, focusing on high-voltage electrical design, engineering, and environmental services. This agreement aids the UK's shift toward a low-carbon energy landscape and follows Jacobs' previous role in constructing the Uxbridge Moor substation.
Concurrently, Farrans has completed the Camster II Onshore Wind Farm in Scotland, now operational with a capacity of 36 MW, enough to power around 51,000 homes. The project, initiated in 2023, demonstrated local economic impact by sourcing 54% of subcontractors from within 20 miles of the site. The successful delivery of Camster II marks a significant achievement in RWE's renewable energy strategy and further solidifies the partnership with Farrans.
