Jammu and Kashmir Completes 15 of 61 Major Projects Worth ₹4.12 Lakh Crore Under PRAGATI Initiative
Jammu and Kashmir has completed 15 of 61 major projects worth ₹4.12 lakh crore under the PRAGATI initiative, as reported by Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo. Six high-priority projects valued at ₹53,000 crore have been finalized, while 46 projects, including the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway and Pakal Dul hydropower project, are ongoing. The initiative has effectively addressed 57 of 69 issues on the Project Monitoring Group portal, facilitating faster land acquisition and environmental clearances.

As of January 5, Jammu and Kashmir has completed 15 out of 61 major projects valued at ₹4.12 lakh crore, according to Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo. These projects are monitored under the PRAGATI initiative, which facilitates real-time review by the Prime Minister.
Six high-priority projects worth ₹53,000 crore have been successfully completed, while 46 projects worth approximately ₹3.43 lakh crore are ongoing. The PRAGATI platform has resolved 57 of the 69 issues flagged on the Project Monitoring Group portal, significantly expediting land acquisition and environmental clearances.
Key ongoing projects include the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway and the Pakal Dul hydropower project. The Indus Water Treaty has been suspended, allowing faster execution of hydropower projects. Continuous follow-up at the UT and district levels ensures effective governance and timely implementation of social sector schemes.
