Jammu and Kashmir Drafts Hydel Power Policy 2025 for Stakeholder Feedback
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah announced the draft of the J&K hydel policy 2025, seeking public feedback. The policy aims to promote small hydro project development, attract private investment, and enhance local socio-economic conditions. Developers will be required to supply free power or royalty to the Union Territory after a specified period, reducing electricity purchase costs for the government and benefiting consumers.
