Jantzen Renewables Secures Building Permit for 360 MW Battery Storage in Romania
Jantzen Renewables has obtained all necessary building permits for its 360 MW Repono1 battery storage project in Blejești, Teleorman County, Romania. This facility will increase the country's grid-scale battery power by half. The project aims to enhance energy storage solutions as Romania expands its renewable energy generation. Jantzen Renewables, established in 2020 as a spinout from Jantzen Group Denmark, is developing over 2 GW of renewable energy assets in Romania.

Jantzen Renewables has reached ready-to-build status for its 360 MW Repono1 battery energy storage system, having obtained all necessary building permits. Located in Blejești, Teleorman County, this facility will boost Romania's grid-scale battery power by 50%.
The company, a spinout from Jantzen Group Denmark, is working on a pipeline exceeding 2 GW of renewable energy assets. The Repono 2 project is also in development, alongside other projects such as the Helios 1 photovoltaic cluster, which has a peak capacity of 710 MW, and Helios 2 with 463 MW. Romania is on track to reach 2 GW in total battery storage capability by the end of the year.
