JAPEX Initiates Production at Alve Nord Oil and Gas Field in Norway
Production at the Alve Nord oil and gas field commenced on August 27, 2026, following accelerated development. JAPEX's subsidiary, JAPEX Norge AS, holds a 10% stake in the project, contributing to an expected average annual output of 2,200 barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2026.

Japan Petroleum Exploration Co., Ltd. (JAPEX) announced the start of production at Alve Nord on August 27, 2026. JAPEX Norge AS holds a 10% interest in the field, developed in partnership with Aker BP ASA, Harbour Energy Norge AS, and ORLEN Upstream Norway AS.
Initially projected for 2027, production began earlier due to an accelerated schedule linked to Aker BP's Skarv Satellite Project. The produced natural gas and crude oil are processed at the Skarv FPSO and transported via subsea pipelines. JAPEX plans to expand its operations in Norway through further acquisitions to enhance long-term corporate value.
