Jasa Kita Acquires KT System, Targets Growth in Power Infrastructure
Jasa Kita Bhd aims to enhance recurring earnings through its acquisition of KT System Sdn Bhd, tapping into Malaysia's RM40-50 billion power infrastructure sector. The acquisition, finalized on July 31, allows Jasa Kita to expand its capabilities in high-voltage engineering services, projected to represent a market of RM600 million to RM2 billion annually.

Jasa Kita Bhd has completed the acquisition of KT System Sdn Bhd to strengthen its recurring earnings base and capture opportunities in Malaysia's power infrastructure, valued at RM40-50 billion annually. KT System's core services, which include testing and protection, are expected to generate between RM600 million and RM2 billion in annual revenue.
The company plans to enhance its project capacity and develop inspection and maintenance services, focusing on new technologies for asset monitoring. Jasa Kita also intends to consider prospects in renewable energy and battery storage, while prudently expanding its market presence.
The acquisition aligns with rising electricity demand and substantial investments in the power sector, with Tenaga Nasional allocating RM43 billion for capital expenditure from 2025 to 2027. Additionally, shareholders approved Jasa Kita's diversification into power solutions and its investment in SPPH Eco Biomass Resources Sdn Bhd, which includes land near key infrastructure in Kuantan.
