ONE Nuclear Secures LOI for 2.88 GW Project Cayman in Louisiana
ONE Nuclear has signed a binding LOI for Project Cayman, comprising a 2.88 GW natural gas plant and a 700 MW BESS. This development supports Louisiana's industrial growth and enhances regional energy reliability.

ONE Nuclear Energy LLC has executed a binding letter of intent (LOI) for Project Cayman, which will include a 2.88 GW natural gas facility and a 700 MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) alongside a high-capacity data center. The project aims to meet the rising energy demands from recent developments in Louisiana, including SpaceX's infrastructure expansion and Hyundai's steel mill.
Community engagement will begin in September 2026 through a series of public information meetings. The LOI marks a significant advancement in ONE Nuclear's strategy to deliver scalable energy solutions to support local industrial sectors. Potential risks include regulatory challenges and the need for continued investment in infrastructure to meet evolving energy demands.
