Jawa Tengah Secures Over $100 Million Investment Interests from Dubai Investors in Waste Management and Data Center
The Government of Central Java has identified five investment interests from Dubai investors targeting strategic sectors, including waste management, energy, and data centers. This initiative follows a recent visit by the Central Java government to Dubai.
For waste management, Central Java will partner with local company PT Jateng Petro Energi (JPEN). The investment interests are formalized through letters of intent and include plans for an ammonia-based urea plant, desalination projects, energy development, and data centers.
One energy sector investor is projected to contribute over $100 million. The Central Java government plans a follow-up virtual meeting with Dubai investors next week. Additionally, the introduction of international flights from Semarang to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur aims to enhance connectivity and attract global investors.
