JCHX Updates on Copper Mining Projects and Financial Performance
JCHX plans to implement underground mining in the Eastern Zone of the Lonshi Copper Mine, with expectations of higher copper prices. The company reported a 21.45% increase in Q1 2026 operating revenue, driven by rising copper product prices.

JCHX is advancing the Eastern Zone of the Lonshi Copper Mine with an underground mining strategy, targeting an annual capacity of 2.5-3.5 million tons and full production by year four post-commissioning. The company expects to recover approximately 100,000 tons of copper annually from both the eastern and western mine zones.
In Q1 2026, JCHX achieved total operating revenue of 3.414 billion yuan, a 21.45% year-on-year increase, attributed to rising mineral product sales and prices. The Alacran Copper-Gold-Silver Mine in Colombia is set for development after EIA approval, with a projected investment of $420.4 million. However, the mining sector faces risks such as price fluctuations and project delays, which could impact future profitability.
