JCI Solo and JCI Surigao Establish Strategic Partnership
JCI Solo has formed a Twinning Chapter with JCI Surigao, marking a collaboration focused on nickel resources and educational exchanges. This partnership aims to enhance technology transfer and economic opportunities in the electric vehicle supply chain.

JCI Solo has officially signed a Sister Chapter Agreement with JCI Surigao on June 13, 2026, during the Asia Pacific Conference in Niigata, Japan, concluding a two-year exploration phase. The partnership targets collaboration in nickel processing technology and human resource development, leveraging Surigao's position as a major nickel mining hub and Solo's cultural and educational strengths.
Additionally, opportunities for joint tourism promotion and economic exchanges in products like batik and handicrafts are anticipated. The agreement was supported by JCI Global representative Serra Argo Rianda and witnessed by global JCI leaders. The collaboration is expected to accelerate economic transformation and address the growing global demand for nickel in electric vehicle batteries.
