Jean-Raymond Boulle, from Curepipe, Mauritius, started his mining career at De Beers Consolidated Mines Ltd in Africa. In 1980, he moved to Texas to explore diamond deposits in Arkansas. By the early 1990s, he partnered with Vancouver-based Robert Friedland to co-found Diamond Fields Resources in 1992, focusing on diamond exploration off Namibia's coast. In 2011, he acquired Bondi Mining in Brisbane, which is involved in uranium and copper extraction.
