Jeonbuk Assembly Calls for 10 Trillion Won Investment and Stronger Special Provisions than Five-Pole Regions

HYDROGEN

Democratic Party of Korea Jeonbuk Provincial Assembly members urged the government to expand special provisions for Jeonbuk and invest at least 10 trillion won. They argued this is crucial to prevent Jeonbuk from being sidelined during the ongoing discussions about the five-pole (metropolitan integrated special city) bill.

Assembly members emphasized that Jeonbuk should have stronger privileges than the five-pole regions, highlighting its structural limitations, including a fragmented administration and inadequate infrastructure. They called for significant investment in future industries such as hydrogen, renewable energy, and AI, and demanded that central authority over agriculture be delegated. The members insisted that a minimum of 10 trillion won in national investment must be guaranteed for Jeonbuk and the other special provinces.
