Jiangsu Achieves Highest Offshore Wind Capacity in China with 13.49 MW
WIND ENERGY
As of the end of 2025, Jiangsu's offshore wind power capacity reached 13.49 million kilowatts, the highest in China. This capacity will supply over 30 billion kilowatt-hours of renewable electricity annually to the Yangtze River Delta, reducing CO2 emissions by over 22 million tonnes.
Jiangsu has developed a comprehensive offshore wind power framework, with Yancheng hosting the largest OWP industrial cluster in the country. It has also commissioned the first 110 kV and 220 kV offshore booster stations and the largest grid-connection facility. China's total OWP capacity is expected to exceed 100 million kilowatts by the end of the 15th Five-Year Plan period.
