Jiangxi Province to Enhance Industrial Modernization by 2030
Jiangxi province plans to modernize its industrial system during the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030), targeting an increase of 1 trillion yuan in GDP. The initiative focuses on high-quality development through advanced manufacturing and ecological sustainability.

Jiangxi aims to elevate its GDP to 4.6 trillion yuan ($146 billion) by 2030, with a per capita GDP exceeding $14,000. The electronic information sector generated 1.24 trillion yuan in 2025, while the nonferrous metals sector led nationally with 1.1 trillion yuan.
The strategy includes the '1269' action plan, which emphasizes 12 key manufacturing chains and six advanced clusters such as lithium batteries and photovoltaic energy. Investment of 3 billion yuan has been allocated for digital transformation, impacting over 15,000 companies.
Furthermore, emerging sectors like brain-computer interfaces are developing, with NeuroXess establishing a production facility in Nanchang. The province also emphasizes ecological sustainability as a crucial asset for development.
