JLL Expands Energy Advisory Team with Craig Both to Address Power Demand for Data Centers
JLL has hired Craig Both as senior vice president of power origination within its energy advisory team to assist large commercial and industrial energy users, particularly data centers, amid rising power demand driven by artificial intelligence. Both, previously with Madison Energy Infrastructure, will enhance JLL's power origination services, addressing challenges such as grid constraints and evolving clean energy markets.
JLL reports that about 57% of data center projects globally faced delays of at least three months last year due to power supply issues. The expansion aims to support sectors like hospitals and manufacturers in navigating the increasing energy demands and infrastructure challenges. Brian Rappaport, managing director at JLL Energy Advisory, emphasized that Both's appointment will bolster their capacity to provide energy solutions in a complex market.
