Johnson Controls Expands Heat Pump Facility in Denmark, Boosts Production and Testing Capacity
Johnson Controls has expanded its facility in Holme, Denmark, doubling production capacity for high-capacity heat pumps. This strategic investment aims to support job creation and enhance electrification efforts across European industries.
Johnson Controls has increased its Holme, Denmark facility's production capacity, adding 2,300 square meters of manufacturing space and an 1,800 square meter customer experience and testing center compliant with EN 14511 standards. The expansion is projected to generate over 100 local jobs while operating on 100% green energy, reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
The facility specializes in manufacturing Sabroe-branded heat pumps and chillers, which are crucial for district heating and industrial applications. The introduction of large-scale heat pumps is expected to significantly lower heating costs and emissions, aligning with the EU's decarbonization goals. This reinforces Johnson Controls' commitment to innovation in Europe, providing local solutions for energy-intensive sectors.
