JSW Energy Reports 65% Growth in Power Sales, Commissions India's Largest Green Hydrogen Plant
JSW Energy Ltd reported a 65% increase in power sales for Q3 FY26, reaching 11.1 billion units, alongside a 98% rise in EBITDA to INR 2,202 crores. The company also commissioned India's largest green hydrogen plant and secured long-term power purchase agreements for 95% of its capacity, despite facing challenges from extreme weather and fluctuating market prices. Additionally, JSW Energy added 5.2 gigawatts of capacity over the past year, while working to convert pending Letters of Award into agreements for another 4.5 GW.

JSW Energy Ltd reported a 65% year-on-year increase in power sales for Q3 FY26, growing from 6.8 billion units to 11.1 billion units. The company achieved a 98% increase in EBITDA, totaling INR 2,202 crores for the quarter.
JSW Energy has commissioned India's largest green hydrogen plant at Vijayanagar and secured long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) for 95% of its capacity. Over the past year, the company added 5.2 gigawatts of capacity, contributing to EBITDA growth, despite facing a 30% drop in standalone revenues due to extreme weather and reserve shutdowns.
The merchant power market showed softening prices, while JSW Energy dealt with increased interest and depreciation costs impacting profit after tax. The company is working to convert pending Letters of Award into PPAs, with 4.5 GW of capacity awaiting signing.
