JSW Energy Ltd reported a 65% year-on-year increase in power sales for Q3 FY26, growing from 6.8 billion units to 11.1 billion units. The company achieved a 98% increase in EBITDA, totaling INR 2,202 crores for the quarter.
JSW Energy has commissioned India's largest green hydrogen plant at Vijayanagar and secured long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) for 95% of its capacity. Over the past year, the company added 5.2 gigawatts of capacity, contributing to EBITDA growth, despite facing a 30% drop in standalone revenues due to extreme weather and reserve shutdowns.
The merchant power market showed softening prices, while JSW Energy dealt with increased interest and depreciation costs impacting profit after tax. The company is working to convert pending Letters of Award into PPAs, with 4.5 GW of capacity awaiting signing.
