JSW Energy Secures Turbine Generators for 1,600 MW Salboni Plant in India

JSW Energy Limited, through its subsidiary JSW Thermal Energy Limited, has contracted Toshiba JSW Power Systems Private Ltd for two 800 MW steam turbine generators for the Salboni Thermal Project in West Bengal. This procurement aims to enhance supply-chain certainty and support the project's timely completion.
Currently, JSW Energy operates 5,658 MW of thermal capacity and plans to increase total capacity to 9,058 MW, representing 30% of its 30.5 GW locked-in generation capacity. The company targets 30 GW of generation and 40 GWh of energy storage by FY 2030, with plans for carbon neutrality by 2050.
