Jupiter Intelligence Partners with SEI to Assess Climate Risk in Global Mineral, Energy, and Food Supply Chains
Jupiter Intelligence has formed a partnership with the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) to evaluate climate risk across the minerals-energy-food (MEF) complex using Jupiter's ClimateScore Global platform. The initial phase involves applying flood data to assess cross-border climate risks for energy transition minerals, emphasizing the interconnectedness of supply chains. This collaboration aims to provide comprehensive data on how climate hazards affect global trade flows and resource extraction, particularly regarding critical minerals like copper, cobalt, and lithium.

Jupiter Intelligence and the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) have partnered to analyze climate risk across the minerals-energy-food (MEF) complex. This collaboration utilizes Jupiter's ClimateScore Global platform, providing SEI access through The Jupiter Promise.
The first phase focuses on mapping cross-border climate risk for energy transition minerals by applying flood data to assess exposure at mining sites and processing facilities. The partnership highlights the urgent demand for critical minerals, which are vulnerable to climate risks. The ClimateScore Global platform offers extensive data on 22.3 billion locations, aiding in understanding how climate events can impact global supply chains.
