Jura Elektroapparate AG will open a $42 million hospitality and service center in Mount Joy on September 1, designed to enhance service efficiency for coffee machines. The 35,000 square-foot facility will relocate from its current site, which services about 24,000 machines annually, to accommodate nearly double the workforce.
Featuring a drive-thru service, the center aims for a 24-hour repair turnaround and incorporates sustainable energy solutions, including geothermal heating and solar power, generating approximately 1,800 kilowatts per day. Groundbreaking occurred in February 2024, with initial costs projected at $17 million, later adjusted due to increased building size. The project received $16.25 million in state grants, indicating strong growth potential in the U.S. market, which is expected to be Jura's largest in five to ten years.
