The City Planning Commission of Wyandotte County and Kansas has deferred the review of the East Side Energy battery storage project, rescheduling it for April 13, 2026. During the meeting, concerns were raised regarding a new housing development near Parallel Parkway, but this proposal was approved and will be presented to the Board of Commissioners on March 26. The commission unanimously accepted all other applications, while the energy storage project remains under consideration.
