Karan Retail has purchased Bridgend Garage in Thurso, Scotland, its most northern petrol station, located on the North Coast 500 route. The site, capable of 1.25mlpa, features a two-pump petrol station and shop, with potential for expansion.

This acquisition increases Karan Retail’s total to 56 sites, including six in the Highlands. The forecourt was sold by Gleaner, which aims to invest in its distribution depots. Future growth in fuel volume is expected as Thurso attracts renewable energy investments to replace the decommissioning Dounreay Nuclear Power Plant.
