Karman Industries launched the Heat Processing Unit (HPU), a modular 10MW thermal platform for AI hyperscalers, optimizing energy consumption and eliminating water use. The company secured $20 million in Series A funding, totaling over $30 million.

HPUs reduce mechanical yard footprint by 60-80%, enhance Power Utilization Effectiveness, and allow for heat reuse for electricity and district heating. Initial customer deliveries will start in Q3 2026 from their Los Angeles facility, designed for 1GW annual production, aiming for 4GW capacity to meet demand.
