Karnataka Initiates First State-Led Centre of Excellence for Space Technology in Bengaluru
Karnataka has unveiled India's first state-led Centre of Excellence for Space Technology in Bengaluru, aiming to enhance commercial applications of space innovation. This initiative will support research, training, and startups, positioning Karnataka as a key player in the nation's space economy.

The Government of Karnataka has inaugurated the Centre of Excellence for Space Technology (CoE SpaceTech Foundation) in Bengaluru, established through a Memorandum of Agreement with SIA-India. The Centre aims to enhance India's capacity for space innovation, focusing on research, industry training, and startup incubation across various sectors including agriculture and national security.
Strategic partnerships have been formalized with institutions such as Manipal Academy of Higher Education and Dassault Systèmes to bolster research and collaboration. The initiative is expected to drive economic growth and generate high-quality jobs in the region, reinforcing Karnataka's position in the space economy.
