Kazakhstan to Launch Gallium and Antimony Production Lines in 2026 with Mitsubishi and Eurasian Resources Group
STRATEGIC MINERALS
Kazakhstan is set to expand its rare metals sector in 2026 by introducing new production lines for gallium and refined antimony. This initiative follows an offtake contract between Eurasian Resources Group and Mitsubishi Corporation, established during President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's visit to Japan in December.
The agreement stipulates the procurement of an average of 15 tons of gallium annually starting in 2026. The development of the rare metals industry is expected to offer substantial opportunities for economic diversification and the creation of high-tech industries in Kazakhstan.
