Kazakhstan's Samruk Kazyna investment fund seeks to attract over $25.5 billion in annual foreign direct investment for 2026-2028, focusing on diversifying its economy. The fund manages state-owned enterprises, emphasizing long-term value and domestic development.

Currently, 96% of its assets are in Kazakhstan, with key projects in renewable energy, including a 7-gigawatt capacity initiative. During President Tokayev's U.S. visit in November 2025, Samruk Kazyna signed contracts worth $10 billion, including purchasing 18 Boeing 787-9 aircraft and developing tungsten deposits. The fund also engages in social projects, financing rehabilitation centers and sports facilities.
