KBC to Develop Vân Canh Wind Power Projects in Gia Lai for Green Energy Transition
The Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee has approved KBC's subsidiary, Saigon - Bac Giang Industrial Park Joint Stock Company, to develop the Vân Canh 1 and Vân Canh 2 wind power projects. Vân Canh 1 will require an investment of approximately 6.905 trillion VND with a capacity of 160 MW, while Vân Canh 2 will have an investment of over 7.771 trillion VND and a capacity of 180 MW. KBC aims to lead in clean energy solutions and support Vietnam's transition to sustainable development and Net Zero emissions.

On January 7, the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee approved investor selection results for the Vân Canh 1 and Vân Canh 2 wind power projects, with KBC's subsidiary, Saigon - Bac Giang Industrial Park Joint Stock Company, meeting the requirements. The Vân Canh 1 project has a total investment of approximately 6.905 trillion VND, covering about 56 hectares in Canh Liên commune, with a designed capacity of 160 MW and an expected annual electricity output of 502 million kWh.
The Vân Canh 2 project has a total investment of over 7.771 trillion VND, spanning around 62 hectares in Vân Canh and Canh Liên communes, with a designed capacity of 180 MW and an expected annual output of 623.2 million kWh. KBC aims to lead in providing clean energy solutions to industrial enterprises and is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions, aligning with sustainable development trends in Vietnam's green energy transition.
