KBR Joins North West Hub Alliance for $300 Million Wastewater Upgrade in Sydney

WATER INFRASTRUCTURE & DESALINATION

KBR is part of the North West Hub Alliance (NWHA) to deliver a $300 million wastewater treatment upgrade in Sydney's north-west, expected to be completed by late 2029. The project supports rapid population growth, allowing for 200,000 new household connections.

The NWHA will handle design, procurement, construction, and commissioning for Riverstone, Rouse Hill, and Castle Hill Water Resource Recovery Facilities. This second phase builds on the progress of Scheme 1, which includes upgrades like a new biosolids handling plant. KBR also aims to achieve an Infrastructure Sustainability Council V2.1 Silver rating, marking a first for water infrastructure in Australia.
