KDDI Acquires Republic Campus in London for Data Center Expansion
KDDI, parent company of Telehouse, has acquired the Republic campus in London's Tower Hamlets for approximately £250 million. The site has planning permission for a 376,000 sq ft data center with a potential IT power of 30MW. The acquisition includes two office buildings totaling 483,000 sq ft, located near Telehouse's existing Docklands campus.

KDDI has acquired the Republic campus in Tower Hamlets, London, for around £250 million ($333.8m) from Trilogy Real Estate and LaSalle Investment Management. The site, which includes two office buildings totaling 483,000 sq ft (44,862 sqm), is zoned for a 376,000 sq ft (35,000 sqm) data center with a potential IT power of 30MW.
Planning consent was secured for the data center, which is part of a larger expansion plan that includes residential towers and lab space. The acquisition is adjacent to Telehouse's existing Docklands campus.
