KEPSA and FFI Sign MoU for Green Energy Projects in Kenya
KEPSA and Fortescue Future Industries have established a partnership to develop large-scale green energy initiatives in Kenya. This collaboration aims to facilitate participation from KEPSA members in projects that contribute to sustainable practices and economic growth.

The Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Fortescue Future Industries (FFI) to promote participation in large-scale green energy projects in Kenya. FFI is currently evaluating the establishment of an integrated green hydrogen and ammonia production facility utilizing renewable energy.
This partnership will focus on creating opportunities for private sector engagement in green industrialization and climate change initiatives. Additionally, a recent 10-point Corporate Commitment charter was signed by various stakeholders to enhance climate resilience and reduce emissions in Kenya. The Electricity Sector Association of Kenya (ESAK) has also been launched, comprising Independent Power Producers (IPPs) and private electricity participants, highlighting the growth in renewable energy capacity and the need to address rising power costs.
