Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Prioritizes Youth and Clean Energy in 2026-27 Development Plan
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has outlined a strategic focus on youth empowerment, public safety, and sustainable energy initiatives for the 2026-27 Annual Development Programme (ADP). This approach aims to improve socio-economic conditions and expand employment opportunities across various sectors.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, led by Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, is set to emphasize youth empowerment and socio-economic uplift in the 2026-27 budget. Key initiatives include establishing three small industrial estates, promoting vocational training, and facilitating business development opportunities.
Proposals for a Safe City initiative in Kohat, Mardan, and Peshawar aim to enhance urban security. The development of mini solar grids and rehabilitation of hydropower stations was also discussed to bolster clean energy access.
Additionally, the meeting reviewed plans for new excise police stations and advanced law enforcement infrastructure. The Chief Minister directed timely implementation of these initiatives to ensure public welfare and economic growth.
