Kinergy Advancement Bhd has signed a 21-year virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA) with Safran Landing Systems Malaysia. The agreement allows Kinergy, through its subsidiary KAB Energy Holdings Sdn Bhd, to supply renewable electricity generated from hydropower, with an annual output of 80 to 108 GWh.

This VPPA provides Safran with a stable green energy source and supports its decarbonization efforts. The agreement also introduces hydropower as a reliable renewable source within a VPPA framework, expanding clean energy solutions for corporate off-takers. Safran's operations have achieved a 27% net reduction in emissions since 2018.
