Kingston Digital has launched the DC3000ME Gen5 U.2 NVMe SSD, featuring a capacity of 30.72TB and sequential read speeds of up to 14GB/s. Designed for data centers, it utilizes a PCIe 5.0 interface and is backward compatible with PCIe 4.0, allowing flexible deployment across existing server environments.
The SSD employs 3D eTLC NAND and includes features like power loss protection and AES-256 encryption, enhancing data reliability and security. This development is significant as it enables data centers to reduce the number of storage devices needed per rack, resulting in lower power use and improved cooling.
