KIO Data Centers to Invest $1.3 Billion in QRO3 Expansion in Queretaro, Mexico
KIO Data Centers is set to invest approximately US$1.3 billion in QRO3, a major data center expansion in Queretaro. This development aims to bolster the region's digital infrastructure and create over 8,100 jobs, addressing the rising demand for cloud computing and AI services.

KIO Data Centers plans an investment of about US$1.3 billion for the QRO3 project, which will add 100 MW of capacity in Queretaro. This expansion is expected to create over 8,100 direct and indirect jobs, aligning with the growing demand for digital infrastructure across North America.
The project marks KIO's broader strategy as it has invested over US$900 million in the region since becoming a shareholder of I Squared Capital. The QRO3 facility will focus on AI and cloud services, responding to the increasing needs of North American clients. As data centers become integral to economic infrastructure, KIO's initiatives may significantly impact technology supply chains and labor markets, necessitating a skilled workforce in the region.
