KT Appoints New CEO, SK Telecom and LG Uplus to Enhance AI and Data Center Operations
KT will nominate Park Yoon-young as its new CEO to normalize management, while SK Telecom and LG Uplus will reorganize their boards to strengthen AI and data center capabilities. General shareholders' meetings for all three companies will occur at the end of the month, with KT's on the 31st. SK Telecom plans to appoint new inside and outside directors to enhance governance, while LG Uplus aims to expand its data center business by voting on new project additions.

KT is set to appoint Park Yoon-young as CEO to restore its management, having previously halted activities under Kim Young-sup. This decision is anticipated to expedite management reforms. Concurrently, SK Telecom and LG Uplus will also hold general shareholders' meetings to restructure their boards.
