Kuwait Relief Society, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Nouri Charitable Association, and Direct Aid Association signed an agreement with the UN Development Programme (UNDP) to supply emergency access to clean drinking water for displaced communities in Gaza. The project will establish a framework to install three mobile solar-powered desalination units, serving around 180,000 people in southern Gaza.
The initiative aims to alleviate suffering and address urgent needs for safe drinking water. The UNDP's Palestinian People Assistance Programme will implement the project in response to extensive damage to Gaza's water infrastructure. The partnership emphasizes restoring essential services and linking immediate humanitarian aid to long-term development efforts.
