L-Charge Launches Mobile EV Charging and Roadside Assistance Vehicle in California

GAS TURBINES & ENGINESENERGY STORAGE

L-Charge has launched a mobile EV charging and roadside assistance vehicle in California, featuring the smallest 60kW DC fast charger on the market. This vehicle is designed for fleet operators, municipalities, and towing services and allows for 15 hours of continuous charging.

The Ford 250-550 truck utilizes a gas engine to power the charger, removing the need for onboard batteries or additional fuel tanks. L-Charge also offers the option to integrate energy storage systems and claims that its generators, which can operate on various low-carbon fuels, only run during active charging, thus lowering emissions compared to typical gas generator setups.
