La Colombe Coffee Roasters plans to invest $479 million in an expansion in Norton Shores, MI, aiming to enhance production and distribution capabilities while creating approximately 100 jobs. This investment follows significant economic growth in Muskegon County, which has seen a 2% job increase, and comes after the company's acquisition by Chobani and prior expansions in the area. The region's growth is further supported by developments in the aerospace sector, including a $70 million expansion by GE Aviation.

La Colombe Coffee Roasters is set to invest $479 million in an expansion in Norton Shores, MI, following significant economic growth in Muskegon County. The company was fully acquired by Chobani for $900 million in December 2023, after Keurig Dr Pepper invested $300 million for a 33% stake earlier.
La Colombe has been expanding its operations in Michigan since moving canned coffee production to Norton Shores in 2016, with a prior $1.75 million expansion announced in August 2022. The new expansion, recently approved, aims to increase production and distribution capabilities, creating approximately 100 jobs.
Muskegon County has experienced about 2% job growth from November 2024 to November 2025, contrasting with slower growth in neighboring Kent and Ottawa counties. This growth is bolstered by a strong aerospace sector, highlighted by GE Aviation's $70 million expansion, which will add 60 new jobs.
