La Matanza Opens Urban Solid Waste Transfer Center for Responsible Bulky Waste Management

Residents can dispose of up to 450 kg of waste for free. The center integrates cart drivers into the formal waste management system and includes patrols to prevent illegal dumping. La Matanza has inaugurated the Urban Solid Waste Transfer Center in Villa Luzuriaga, operational Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM and Saturdays from 9 AM to 1 PM. The center allows residents to dispose of up to 450 kg of bulky solid waste for free, excluding industrial toxic or hazardous materials.
It incorporates cart drivers into formal waste management and involves local government patrols to discourage illegal dumping. Additionally, the municipality offers Sustainable Stations for recyclable waste, reinforcing its circular economy strategy. This investment supports public health and environmental sustainability.
