LAB7 Invests in Homeostasis to Advance CO2-to-Graphite Technology for Battery Production

ENERGY STORAGE

LAB7 has entered a strategic investment with U.S. startup Homeostasis to develop technology that converts carbon dioxide (CO2) into synthetic graphite. Announced on December 30, the partnership aims to accelerate the transformation of CO2 emissions into high-value graphite for lithium-ion battery anodes, essential for electric vehicles and energy storage systems.

Homeostasis employs molten-salt electrolysis to produce anode-grade graphite from captured CO2 at industrial sites. This collaboration is part of LAB7's initiative to support startups in introducing innovative industrial technologies while addressing climate challenges.

The partnership will enhance Homeostasis' production processes and market readiness. Aramco's support for LAB7 strengthens the collaboration, aligning with efforts to produce sustainable critical battery materials.
