Landslide in Kishtwar, J&K Claims One Life, Rescue Operations Underway Amid Heavy Snowfall
A landslide near the Dangduru hydro-power project in Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir, resulted in one death and one injury. More than 230 people were evacuated from Sinthan top due to heavy snowfall. Educational institutions in Kishtwar and Doda were closed as a precaution. A joint rescue operation by authorities, the military, and civil administration was conducted to assist stranded civilians.

Educational institutions outside Kishtwar and Doda were closed as a precaution. The rescue operation, involving police, Army, and civil administration, provided food and shelter to civilians and restored mobility for 38 vehicles. The operation was supervised by local officials and occurred under challenging weather conditions.
