Lara Exploration Advances Planalto Copper Project in Brazil with $1B Growth Potential
Lara Exploration is conducting a 14,000-metre drill program at its Planalto copper-gold project in Brazil, aiming to validate resource estimates and enhance its market valuation. Preliminary economic assessments indicate a potential net present value of $1.2 billion, highlighting Planalto's strategic advantage due to existing infrastructure and proximity to major mining operations.

Lara Exploration is advancing its Planalto copper-gold project in Brazil with a 14,000-metre drilling program to validate its resource estimates. The project has a reported potential net present value of $1.2 billion based on a preliminary economic assessment, which predicts an 18-year mine life producing 560,000 tonnes of copper and 111,000 ounces of gold.
Existing infrastructure, including highways and power lines, positions Planalto favorably for development. The mine could produce 120,000 tonnes of clean chalcopyrite concentrate annually, with no arsenic content. However, Lara needs to complete further drilling and secure environmental permits before moving forward, which could influence its market value relative to the project's potential.
