Latitude 66 Secures Exploration Permits in Finland for KSB Project
Latitude 66 has lodged exploration permit applications for K1, K2, and K3 areas in Finland, following amendments to the Mining Act. These developments are crucial for advancing the KSB project and include plans for a scoping study and environmental assessments targeting completion in Q2 2026.

Latitude 66 (ASX: LAT) has applied for exploration permits covering the K1, K2, and K3 prospect areas in Finland. The applications were submitted on April 1, 2026, after amendments to the Finnish Mining Act, which now permits granting exploration permits post-expiration or revocation of mining rights.
The KSB project hosts a resource of 7.3Mt with an average grade of 2.7g/t gold and 0.08% cobalt. A scoping study from March 2025 projected annual production of 65,000oz of gold and 465t of cobalt over a seven-year mine life.
Upcoming milestones include an optimized scoping study and environmental impact assessment due in Q2 2026, with drilling planned for June 2026 and a pre-feasibility study completion targeted by the end of 2026. The company is also enhancing its project management team with the appointment of André van Wageningen. Latitude 66’s position may strengthen with the current high gold market, presenting a compelling economic outlook for the KSB project.
