Latvia Allocates EUR 40 Million for Environmentally Friendly Vehicle Purchase Support Program
Latvia's Climate and Energy Ministry has introduced a new support program with EUR 40 million for purchasing electric, plug-in hybrid, and hydrogen vehicles. The program, pending government approval, aims to assist citizens, especially large families, by increasing financial support based on the number of children. The initiative will remain active until funds are exhausted, but no later than December 31, 2029. Support amounts include EUR 4,000 for new vehicles and EUR 3,000 for used EVs, with additional bonuses for families holding the Latvian Honorary Family Card.
