Launch Academy Opens Applications for Offshore Wind Accelerator Programme in the UK

The Launch Academy, a technology accelerator for the offshore wind sector, is now accepting applications. Operated by ORE Catapult, the programme supports UK companies with innovative products and services within the offshore wind supply chain.
Since its launch in 2020, it has assisted 74 companies, enabling them to secure £27.5m in private investment and £11.7m in grant funding, along with 153 patents. This year's programme will be sponsored by ScottishPower Renewables, EDF Power Solutions, and JERA Nex bp.
The initiative focuses on innovation challenges including advanced hardware for offshore infrastructure and solutions to expedite construction. A total of 10 companies will be selected, with the programme commencing in June 2026.
