Launch of F4800E: World's First Fully Electric Large Foundation Rig
The F4800E, engineered by Hydrauvision and Fundex Equipment, marks a significant advancement in sustainable construction technology. This fully electric rig reduces energy consumption by 25-40% and provides 90% noise reduction, addressing critical environmental concerns in urban settings.

The F4800E, developed by Hydrauvision and Fundex Equipment, is the first fully electric large foundation rig, with a leader length of 48 meters and a drilling torque of 500 kNm. It consumes up to 2000 kWh daily, making it suitable for large-scale foundation projects.
The innovative design includes a 150 kWh battery for energy storage and peak shaving, supplemented by a diesel generator for sites lacking power access. Its operational flexibility allows for multiple energy sources, including hydrogen and e-methanol.
Demonstrated in September 2023 in Rotterdam, the rig's performance included over 250 foundation piles installed, showcasing significant reductions in energy and noise pollution. The F4800E sets a new benchmark for sustainability in construction, indicating potential shifts in industry practices towards greener solutions.
