Layout Concepts has acquired DCCconcepts, enhancing its position in the model railway sector. The acquisition comes after the appointment of Emma Mifsud and Mark Ranson as joint administrators on 18 February 2026.

The deal aims to provide stability, new investment, and a renewed structure for DCCconcepts, which has been operational for 25 years. Product distribution is now managed by TMC The Model Centre, with existing product lines and lifetime warranties continuing uninterrupted. DCCconcepts is recognized for its 'Cobalt' turnout motors, 'Alpha' control systems, and 'Zen' decoders.
